Enter the December Sunrises

Last December was a month of cloudy skies by early morning. It wasn't always like that, but it for sure was one of the months of the year where I could barely get fyood photos during my morning walks.
It was also a nice thing to be able to watch the complete dance of the sun up in the sky. Going out so early and watch the rising sun is an interesting activity. One that surely connects to the idea of astronomy in ancient times where people would watch the horizon and see that rises and goes down and pass that knowledge unto the next generation. And that's why people knew about constellations and other phenomena.
For me, it's been interesting to see the degree of change in the position of the rising sun in a year. It moves eve so slightly on the horizon. Of course, this is just a day to understand the movement of the planet. Its rotation makes us see the sun coming up and down, but its movement through the orbit makes us see the sun in different positions during the year. It always rises on the east, but never in the same spot. It is fascinating.
However, the best part are always the colors of dawnbreak. Sunsets are also beautiful but there's some magic in the fact of having the time to enjoy the beginning of a day during the chilly hours of dawn.
