The idea of ​​these boxes arose after a craft venture that my mother does. As I told you, in my introduction post to hive, she was diagnosed with cancer and with the pandemic we had to isolate her as a precaution. It should be noted that we still keep it that way and in view of that, a few months ago she started knitting to pass the time and from there arose the idea of ​​selling; to order the knitting figures-keychains (amigurumis).

After the first orders, we realized that we had nowhere to deliver them and that something as cute as those little friends could not deliver like that; in a simple bag. It was then that my sisters told me that I should make a box for these cute knitted friends. And why me? Well, not because my sisters are not able to do it, but because each one of them has her job in this endeavor and I also really like to make packaging.

In college when I studied graphic design, I saw a subject called packaging; And
it was love at first sight I love handmade things and for this reason, that is my part of the job in this endeavor.

In packaging, one of the most important things to take into account is how functional and simple the packaging should be for a product and of course make a packaging that does not cost, both in time and money. That is what I based on, When making the boxes for the amigurumis.

The design of our packaging is very simple, it is a pyramid with a triangular base, without any glue point and the ends are joined with a ribbon or jute (pita), to close the packaging. It also has an opening in the front, in the shape of a triangle, to which acetate or cellophane is placed; so that the product can be seen and the base is reinforced with a cardboard to also have a better finish.

They come in two different sizes and are made on cardboard of different colors, according to the occasion and taste of the buyer. They are also designed for special times. Some are made by me and others by my sister @nateramig who is in charge of packing.

By the way, for those who do not know what an amigurumi is. The word is an acronym for two Japanese terms: ami, means tissue; and nuigurumi, stuffed toy. This is a Japanese trend or fashion that consists of weaving small dolls using crochet or crochet techniques.

La idea de estas cajitas surgió luego de un emprendimiento artesanal que hace mi mamá. Como les conté, en mi post de presentación a hive, ella fue diagnosticada con cáncer y con la pandemia nos vimos en la necesidad de aislarla por precaución. Cabe destacar que aún la mantenemos así y en vista de eso, hace unos meses comenzó a tejer para pasar el tiempo y de allí surgió la idea de vender; por encargo los muñequitos-llaveros que teje, (amigurumis).

Luego de los primeros encargos, nos dimos cuenta que no teníamos donde entregarlos y que algo tan cuchi como esos amiguitos, no podían entregarse así; en una simple bolsa. Fue entonces cuando mis hermanas me dijeron que debía realizar una caja para estos simpáticos amiguitos tejidos. ¿Y porque yo? Bueno, no porque mis hermanas no estén en la capacidad de hacerlo, sino porque cada una tiene su trabajo en este emprendimiento y además a mi me gusta mucho hacer empaques.

En la universidad cuando estudié diseño gráfico, vi una materia que se llama empaques y embalajes; y fue amor a primera vista. Me encantan las cosas hechas a mano y por esta razón, esa es mi parte del trabajo en este emprendimiento.

En empaques y embalajes unas de las cosas más importantes a tomar en cuenta es lo funcional y simple que debe ser el empaque para un producto y por supuesto realizar un empaque que no cueste, tanto en tiempo y en dinero. En eso me basé, a la hora de realizar el empaque para los amigurumis.

El diseño de nuestro empaque es muy simple, es una pirámide con base triangular, sin ningún punto de pega y se unen las puntas con una cinta o yute (pita), para cerrar el empaque. Además tiene una abertura en la parte frontal, en forma de triangulo, a la cual se le coloca acetato o papel celofán; para que se vea el producto y se refuerza la base con una cartulina para además tener un mejor acabado.

Hay en dos tamaños diferentes y se realizan en cartulinas de diferentes colores, de acuerdo a la ocasión y gusto del comprador. También se realizan diseño para ocasiones y épocas especiales. Algunos los realizo yo y otros mi hermana @nateramig quien es la encarga de empaquetar.

Por cierto, para los que no saben que es un amigurumi. La palabra es un acrónimo de dos términos japoneses: ami, significa tejido; y nuigurumi, muñeco de peluche. Ésta es una tendencia o moda japonesa que consiste en tejer pequeños muñecos mediante técnicas de croché o ganchillo.
