I was a five year old child trying to get up from the rags!
"Mum! we have not cooked today and I am already Hungry".
She responded with a thick loud voice.
"Do you expect me to be in thd kitchen with those dirty plates. No... no... no ... she said".
I didn't respond.
She responded again, "do you expect me to cook while the dishes are dirty.
Everywhere was heated! The argument was!
'You better get to the kitchen now! You are hungry.... are you from Hungary?" She added.
All muscles including orbicularis occuli of the eyes and Oris of the mouth, tensed up.
My zygomaticus major and minor was not smiling at all.
Ah! African mothers!
I was forced to get the work done. I soon found myself washing dishes 😄.
😡 Angry! "mum, I am done".
"Done what! I don't get you", she said.
I repeated my self.
"oh you are done washing dishes."

She went to the kitchen, tuned the gas on and told me to wash the pot that it wasnt clean enough.
I was rushing 🤯 so I didn't remember to clean it up properly.

Enraged 😡 , I yelled " mummy this is not fair", you can't treat me like this.

I washed it like while my face was glowing 🤣 with radiant heat of sadness and anger.

I love my mum but children can be stubborn at times.

She began cooking 🍳 and I was really happy.
Mum
I
love
you.
