A TOAST WITH COFFEE WITH MILK
4 comments
For a month I had been waiting for a coffee with a good friend, neighbor, and teacher colleague, because she had been waiting for her retirement for a long time and surprisingly it came at the end of this school year.
As she and I say, if we really count the years in school activity since we started our university careers, even before, it doubles the working time, because many of us have been educators 24/7, every month of the year because apart from the classrooms, we work as independent teachers in school support, and we even do courses and educational plans during vacations.
When she told me the news, I said: "We have to celebrate this with coffee! But seriously we had not been able to go out anywhere to have one, we never coincided, until this week I told him that the pending coffee would be at his house or mine, and that was the day we took the opportunity to make cinnamon rolls, and we had not only one coffee, but two; the one in the morning, and another in the afternoon to accompany our rolls.
We had a very pleasant time, we talked about so many things because it is never the same to talk over coffee as it is to chat. Rosma is more of a latte lover than a coffee lover, so we gathered ingredients for dessert and for our frothy latte, just the way I like it.
Before starting to make our rolls, we drank that pending coffee and toasted to her achievements, and the goal reached these 25 years of teaching, without leaving out, as I said before, the years of school work before, during and after our studies.
We updated ourselves a lot on all kinds of topics, and after finishing our rolls, the three of us, she, Rosita and I, enjoyed another well-deserved coffee with milk and a cinnamon roll, which honestly, was delicious.
After that toast, we promised that these meetings over coffee would be repeated more often, now that we are both free, and we are resting from our school work after so many decades.
Thanks for visiting my blog, it will be until the next story to tell you over a cup of coffee.
