Open Mic Jam: October 11 2023

We tried out a pub in town last night that has performances of the slightly heavier type and we thought we'll probably feel a little out of place.

However, Colin, who you see further down at the keyboard hosts a lot of events in the pub, one of them being the Sunday late afternoon allocated to acoustic solo and duo artists.. so we sure had to give it a shot!

We met some familiar faces from the Hyde Park pub, both open mics (or jam here) alternate fortnightly and the guy behind the bar said we'd make a welcome change to the usual stuff, he'd seen us at the other place. Sure enough many people where singing along, which is always lovely!

It filled up more later on.

We started the thing off which was nice as we were quiet compared to what happened later on.. lol

They're still tuning up here; the lights were turned down once the performances started, but I forgot to take more pics.

Just before we left I decided to sneak one of our business cards, hot off the press, on Colin's keyboard while he was playing with the band.
He said something like "... get back to you with a date.." Oooh, might we have another gig coming? 🤞 He did say he liked what he heard.. it might just be pub talk of course.. 🤔
