I dont exactly understand how the platform works feeling like a boomer haha

I see there are a lot of communities like reddit but there are pending rewards what exactly and how this are made? Does each user, like the one who liked my first post(thank you<3) pays a small fee? And where the rewards go? Sorry for spamming but feels very interesting community and i would like to know more!
