76ers handled the Lakers with ease last night! | Sixers look to win 4th straight tonight vs Kings

It feels as though we are in a different timeline all of a sudden. The Sixers went from losing seven straight, to now having some solid momentum, looking to win four straight tonight! Crazy!
The Sixers win last night came against the Lakers and the victory came with surprising ease! The star power forward for the Lakers, Anthony Davis went down with an injury during the contest but I don't think that takes any credit away from the Sixers. The Lakers are still on paper way better and the Sixers have had countless injuries at this point. It feels pointless to type but yes, Joel Embiid and Paul George were out. Again. But the Sixers still got it done let's go!

Apparently, yesterday was Joel Embiid's 400th missed game in his career. So yeah sure Embiid is excellent much of the time, but in the grand scheme of things the man just doesn't play enough and it's just depressing and no fun as a fan. Yeah, injuries happen but at a certain point it's clear his durability is a problem.
Still, this is a mostly positive post. Tyrese Maxey is what I want out of a Sixer. The guy just shows up and plays hard. Sure he's younger than George and Embiid but meh, so what. This is Maxey's fifth season, not like he's a super young player anymore. Maxey put up an excellent 43 points against the Lakers and he just couldn't be stopped all night long. Really carried the Sixers last night. Veteran Eric Gordon has been steadily improving too which is such a great breath of fresh air.
It's been super difficult to determine where the Sixers are in 2024-25 but it's nice to see the Sixers aren't just pushovers. They have some fight.
Tonight the Kings are in town and I feel like the Sixers have a chance for sure. I'm ready.
