Announcing Hive Alert - New Chrome Extension for All Hive Notifications

Heyyy hiveans!

It brings us great pleasure to announce officially launching "Hive Alert", a new chrome extension that we recently built for all of hive, that aims to provide push notifications right into your browser and runs effectively in the background.

We wanted to bring new means of notifications to hive users, in addition to the existing initiatives, but also to fill gaps in some of the notification types being delivered to users, particularly in light of our recent work which involved fully upgrading and expanding our notification system on Actifit as well.

Meet Hive Alert!
Hive Alert is a pretty simplistic browser extension (chrome, firefox, brave), and requires minimal permissions & size, whereby you basically just enter a username, and start receiving notifications about your (or maybe someone else's) account in the background.

What Notifications?
We tried to build a high level of inclusive notifications, some of which are supported by other projects/front ends/dapps, others which are new and unique(also supported by actifit). Below is a listing of some of the supported key notifications:

• Core hive transactions: creating posts, comments, receiving upvotes, replies, reblogs, mentions...
• Core hive financials: receiving rewards, receiving transfers, sending out transfers (which is a critical notification to make sure you initiated a transfer), using internal market...
• Companion hive apps: you will also receive notifications relating to your hive-engine experience, such as receiving liquid or staked tokens, but also anything related to your actifit experience (including friendships/gadgets/...) and other dapps on hive as we continue to expand our notifications support...
  Clicking on the actual notification would open up an actifit.io link that takes you to either the related post/comment, or your wallet and other related pages.
