Blockchain Everything and Crypto All The Way

While some of you were playing with the cub today, making more cubs, I had a few minutes of paperwork to get through at the bankers offices and didn't liked that at all. It made me appreciate blockchain and crypto even more and I was already a blockchain guy. The thing is that I changed my smartphone recently and I needed to get my banking app back on my smartphone.

Living in a European country(Eastern European to be more precise), that's not too developed for the matter, I had to go personally to the bank and ask for some passcodes to be able to activate my app on the new phone. It was a two times damn eight ciphers code that I needed and that the guy from customer service that I had on the phone previously said that I can only get that at a physical bank office.

Once on the chair they had to update my data in their data base because long time no see, next they handed me some paperwork to sign, they copied my ID and then they gave a few more papers to sign, once all done they realized that I was having other phone number than the one I used when opened the account and got all the processes back again with the paperwork.

When I say they, I real mean that because there was one guy filling some data base information on his computer getting with some paperwork to a lady in another office where a portion of the data was being sent for approval, in this case an activation of a damn app on my phone, and I felt like two people were working for me... just to get me two damn codes that could have been generated by a computer.

Something like blockchain does with transactions or a damn google 2FA authentication.

It took me about twenty minutes of waiting, getting my ID scanned several times, signing all sort of useless paperwork and getting out afterwards without the damn codes. Yes, they actually came via a text message a couple of hours after. I guess that much it took for the data to be processed. If they only knew we can move HIVE around here in literally seconds...

Why do I even bother to have a bank account?

Just in case. Once the market peaks I will cash out into fiat some of the profits and will definitely do that with euros or our national currency. I still keep some cash in the house as savings and would definitely not let the banks keep the custody on my cash and make money with it. Nope. I tried Revolut for this type of operations previously, but the fees and limits at the ATMs are simply not worth.

I am planning to close my bank account by the end of the year and to be using only cash and crypto as I see this thing getting mainstream quickly. I am also using less and less cash, but in case of an emergency or if governments try to fuck me up in any way I know I can have some euros aside. Aside from that I am using the Binance Visa card for groceries which works well and I even get BNB cashback rewards for my shopping, and planning to open an account and order myself a Wirex card too.

I still have that referral link from @onealfa bookmarked and will definitely use it.

The world's gonna be crypto and having a few different crypto cards and accounts, while being able to earn some on the internet, will definitely come at hand. There are all sort of payments that I still need cash for and that's why I haven't ditched it entirely. It kind of also offers a certain freedom from the banking sector and corrupt governments that crypto can't cover for the moment...

I do get banks fighting crypto though. They're obsolete in the way of blockchain and crypto revolution. Like literally obsolete. Operations as the above mentioned and all the paperwork doesn't even exist for blockchain. Blockchain is also saving trees by the way 😁. It made things simple, fast, transparent, reliable and secure. Something that banks will never achieve.

As I said in a post yesterday, crypto is eating bank's lunch and that's why they're fighting back so aggressively. The days of the way they're currently working are numbered. They either innovate, or they're gone. I guess sometimes we don't even realize how efficient this tech is and how lucky we are to be early adopters.

Quite often I appreciate living in a country that's still years away from globalization, but other times I realize we've just graduated from the industrial revolution. Other smaller countries such as Switzerland for example and even Norway are years ahead of us and I really don't know who to blame on that. All I know, is that I'm more and more an advocate for blockchain everything and crypto all the way with every year passing. That was about it for today, have a great day/evening wherever you are and see you to the next one.
