Since it was my first time visiting a historical place like Fort San Pedro I thought our adventure would end in Fort San Pedro but my wife decided to visit The National Museum of the Philippines in Cebu I asked him where it was since our motorcycle was been parked near the Basilica de Menore de Santo Nino but she just pointed the Museum that I thought it was the City Hall of the Cebu City.

anyway if you plan to visit the Museum don't forget to buy some coconut juice for Kuya it was worth buying it for him, his coconut juice is so refreshing since the weather today is like burning the place before entering the Museum.

The Museum was built in 1910 and it was a Cebu Customs House before it became a Museum, An America Architect Named William Parsons Designed The National Museum of the Philippines also Known as the Aduana.

The Museum focuses on the History and heritage of the Visayas Region most especially Cebu's Rich History and Culture, The museum’s collection includes artefacts, artworks, and other cultural materials showcasing Cebu’s rich history and heritage of the Visayas region. Some of the highlights of the collection include the Cebuano painter Martino Abellana and cities around Cebu's rich history and heritage.

The National Museum of the Philippines – Cebu's interior is just as impressive as its exterior. The museum’s galleries are arranged thematically, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Cebu and the surrounding Central Visayas region. The museum’s collection includes artefacts, artworks, and specimens illustrating the region’s history, culture, and natural environment.

on the second floor will see the Paintings of Martino Abellana also known as Noy Tinong who came from the family of artistic family in Carcar Cebu, his father was a sculptor and his brother was Ramon Abellana is a renowned composer and sculptor, his use of Bright colours and focus on landscapes. However, Abellana had a distinct style with more expressive brushwork and a preference for depicting Cebu's specific scenery, including its majestic mountain ranges and captivating seascapes.

This exhibition features the unique geological, botanical, and zoological heritage of Cebu and its neighbouring islands. a stratigraphic column featuring the Lutopan Diorite, they also exhibit the different kinds of pigeons and butterflies.

Where my son enjoyed the way he posed on camera whenever I took photos of him I saw that he enjoyed our adventure here in the museum.

I took a photo of him with the fake Alimango ( Crab ) in actuality you would think that this crab was real and also that butterfly did a great job.

They also have this whale shark as big as the real whale shark we are amazed at how that artist does and how long it takes to make this one.

this also includes the Cebu tamaraw which also showcases the tamaraw's bones. And there is a Touchscreen TV where you can search or zoom the entire Cebu Province.

including the gold death mask and the ewer which was recovered in Plaza Independencia also you will some of the artillery collections.

Here they showcase the boatbuilding and fishing tradition one of the models that have been showcased is the baroto a non-motorized boat used by fishing from Alcoy Cebu. a fishing cage and fishing tools from Bantayan Cebu.

The National Museum of the Philippines in Cebu also offers drawing materials for those kids who will visit the museum and will surely gonna love the kids.

They also have a souvenir shop inside the Museum where you can buy for a remembrance. They offer Baybayin T-shirts, keychains, mugs jewellery and many more so don't miss out on checking for a souvenir for your loved ones.

They are usually open from Tuesday to Sunday and they are closed on Monday, they will open at around 7 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon.

Please observe silence as you enter the premises, before you explore the Museum they have some orientation on what you can and don't do while you are inside the Museum.
