Let’s go see Olumo Rock

Good day to you all my tutors and learners here on Hive.
One thing I loved the most was having tours and also visiting tourist attraction centers. Let me say I love to explore the world and see new things. Only if wishes were horses beggars will surely ride. I dream too much, I have a lot of them, especially when I see places in movies or pictures of people visiting places, I always wish to be there.
I remember times I have always wanted to visit a city in Pakistan, eat their lovely meals, and also dine with friends there. There are times when I want the see the Great Walls of Rome and the Great Walls of China. There are times when I imagine myself in London. But all of these are just way too far and might not even happen anytime soon.
But how about the country where I reside? Aren’t there any tourist attractions?
Oooh. There are many of them. And a lot of places I want to see. I could only visit a few and those are places closer to my residence. But I am sure someday somehow I will get to visit many other places too. Just a matter of time.
Places in Nigeria to visit are many, the ikogosi warm springs, a lot of zoos and gardens, museums, and many other places.
Let's tour the city of Abeokuta
Abeokuta remains one of the am in towns in Nigeria and also the capital of Ogun state. This city is famous for its Olumo Rock which is part of what defines the name of the city “Under A Rock” in English. There are other attractions aside from the Olumo Rock, we have the OOPL Wildlife Park, which is the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library which houses a wildlife park with hundreds of indigenous and foreign animals in it.
I remembered the last time I visited Olumo Rock with my sister, it was just so fun-filled. The memories remain fresh in my head. So if I am to take anyone down to any place this month then I would like us to visit these two places. Create a lot of memories and have lots of fun together.
The Olumo rock has some ancestral places where there are historic tales about them. I would love to listen to those tales in detail and then down to the rock top itself. There was a lift that took everyone to the top of the rock and there was a staircase too. The lift wasn’t functioning so we had to take the stairs.
At the top of the rock, you would see major parts of the city of Abeokuta. And Now there are a lot of advanced arts and crafts to be seen there.
After exploring Olumo Rock, since I haven’t been to the presidential library before, I would like us to explore the place together…
This is my response to the prompt for week 92 edition 1 on the hive learners community and the topic to be discussed is ROUND YOUR CITY.
